What are we looking for:

  • A person who can read and write in English. We are a Spanish based company, part of our clients are based outside Spain, and we communicate with them in English. Also, most of the SDKs, documentation, and big conferences are in English. In the programming world, it's a lifejacket. If you don't feel comfortable, please let's talk, if you can read this job description and reply to us, the rest it's a matter of being willing to improve your skills through our weekly English class and your practice.

  • A diligent developer who is curious to learn everything and share its knowledge. No matter your technical skills, we'd like to see you coding in other platforms :). We mainly work on mobile apps, and back-ends based on the JVM, we touch a bit of everything. So even if you are an Android, iOS, front-end or back-end developer, and are open to exploring new stacks, this is the way. We will give you time to learn new platforms and not only for newcomers. Over the years, you will have the opportunity to learn new too.

  • Strong communication skills. The Karumi team is remote and communicates mostly in writing. We expect you to have asynchronous communication skills and be able to create working relationships with coworkers across various locations. Our remote communication skills matter a lot to us. Have you been working remotely? We'd like to know if you have been there before.

  • Outreach friendly. We believe in the open-source philosophy and sharing our knowledge with the community. It's our way to show the world who we are and what we care about. Writing blog posts, contributing to open source, or giving talks can be part of your tasks.

What we offer:

  • You will have the possibility to work on awesome projects. We've been working with some world-class compaines. And more coming!

  • Fully Remote in Spain, or from our offices in Madrid, it's your choice. We will ask from time to time to travel. It can be a get-together or to go to one of our client offices.

  • A budget to set up your home office or work from a coworking space. If you live near Madrid, access to an impressive office close to "Palacio de la Ópera (Madrid)" is waiting for you full of gadgets, books, whiteboards, food, standing desks, and all the resources that will help you be successful.

  • Outreach Days, you will have time to work on something you like that can also increase the visibility of Karumi, like open source, blog posts, or talks.

  • Supportive teammates. All our engineers work with at least two different platforms, and they are the best engineers you are going to find.

  • A 1.000,00€ educational budget is available to learn new things or improve your skills. It could be related or not to tech skills. From a new trendy language to enhance your piano skills, your pick.

  • English lessons during office hours with our loved native professor for 5 years now.

  • Private Health Insurance.

  • 24th of December and 31 of December as Company Holidays.

  • Phantom Shares, that gives you many of the benefits of stock ownership without actually dealing with the issues of company stock.

And additional Incentives Plan at the 2, 3, 4 and 5 years marks that rewards your time working with us.

Do you care about the quality of the software you write? Do you want to work with different products and continue learning every day to grow together? We are looking forward to hearing from you!
